Fish is most delicious, when it’s in season!


The very best way to buy fish is to buy it when it's in season. Not only will you be enjoying the highest quality, but seasonal fish will be in abundance and be at the keenest price.
The first Herring of the season will be available from mid-June, and from then on, Skipper’s Choice will be supplying delicious Kippers - either whole on the bone – ideal as finger food, or fillets that are just about bone free.

Lemon Sole, Plaice, Cod and Haddock, are generally plentiful during the summer months and always popular – you can be guaranteed prime fillets with no skin and bone, when you order from Skipper’s Choice.

Another popular fish is Hake, it is part of the Cod family, very meaty, lovely hot or cold smoked and always readily available during the summer time.
Mackerel is always popular and available, mostly hot smoked, all year round. Scallops and the famous Amity Langoustine are available for you to enjoy throughout the year, and you can be assured that my expert team will choose only the best for your order.
 Monkfish is a very versatile and a most succulent firm fish. It is available in abundance, but does however demand a higher price.

The king of fish is the Halibut which is more available during the summer time and makes a tasty treat for a special occasion. Available to order at market price on the day.
